Westcotes Neighbourhood Weekly Update
Hello everyone,
Here is this week’s update from your Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Officers were on duty at the local football match, providing a reassuring and visible presence to ensure the event passed safely and that everyone attending could enjoy the game without incident.
During the week, officers also supported a vulnerable male who was self-harming. He was treated with care, patience, and reassurance at the scene, and officers remained with him to ensure he was safely transported to hospital where he could receive the professional care and support he needed.
High-visibility patrols have continued across known hotspot locations. These patrols are carried out to deter crime and anti-social behaviour, provide reassurance to residents, and make sure officers remain approachable and available to anyone who needs to speak with us.
Our PCSOs have also been out on the beat conducting Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) surveys. These surveys give residents the opportunity to tell us about ongoing concerns, identify locations where issues are happening, and share information that directly helps us plan patrols, target problem areas, and use police resources in the most effective way for the community.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to speak with officers this week. Your information, support, and engagement make a real difference in helping us keep Westcotes a safe place to live and work.
If you have concerns or information you would like to share, please continue to speak with officers when you see us on patrol.
